Trail Running and Motherhood

The trails are still covered in snow in Utah, but we're going to scout them for the hopes of a hike later today. Scott has plans to do the Buffalo Runs on Antelope Island later this month.

All of this has lead me to reflect on how trail running prepped me for being a mom.  There's definitely more than what I share here, but it's a good start.

For now, I'm looking forward to getting out on the Ogden River Parkway later today with Susanna, as it's supposed to be (gasp!) in the mid 40's today here.

SHE Drums

We recently made a 0 dollar drum for Susanna that she loves!  Loves to the point of smiling, cooing, oohing, and awwing.  Yes, she's vocal and competes with the drum!

Valentine's Day Fun!

So Scott and I continued our annual tradition of hunting Valentine's Day candy on Valentine's Day at night.  Yes, we're rock stars like that.  We go out after 8 pm and see what we can find or want.

Nada.

I did get some sale stuff this morning though while my two favorite sleepers were snug next to each other.  Ah, a wife's love- leaving the warmth of a baby-and-hubby filled bed to get cheap candy for her man!  Yeah, that's who I am!

DIY Wipes (Simple and Easy!)

The best thing (or one of the best things) that Scott and I have done since having Susanna is to use the cloth wipes!  We love them! She loves them!  The Earth benefits greatly from us loving them!
